Welcome to Year 3
About Us
My name is Mr.Hanif and I am the Year 3 class teacher. We are fortunate to have the very talented Mrs Bray to help support us with our learning progression.
We do our very best to provide a warm, creative, supportive and invigorating environment for the children in Year 3.
We have a great support network in our school, as we endeavour to work closely with our pupils, parents and everyone in our Pen-Y-Fai family.
Here is some useful information to give you a better insight into the learning and development that takes place in Year 3.
Class Information
We try to ensure that the pupils in Year 3 are happy and are having fun in what they are learning. The children come into Year 3 with an air of excitement, knowing that they have now become Junior children.
Our pupils use a variety of learning techniques and these are well supported with the resources that are accessible to them. They have the opportunity to work in groups, supportive bubbles and through independent learning tasks.
The Year 3 classroom is a rich learning environment with interactive resources. We provide a stimulating environment, which portray and highlight the pupils’ work. The classroom is resourced and equipped with laptops and iPads to both support and enhance pupils’ education.
The pupils make use of other learning areas such as the green screen rooms and a very well-equipped library. Along with these learning areas the pupils also have access to creative art and design areas, mission rooms, research work areas, outdoor classroom shelters, the school garden, a large playground, climbing frame, playing fields and even a woodland area, rich in plant life and other outdoor learning experiences.
We encourage pupil led learning at every opportunity by carrying out weekly Pupil Voice sessions. The children provide fantastic ideas that enhance their own learning.
